To add an ExpressCard slot to a new desktop PC, use the Elan E112. Just as the E111 allows users to use a PCIexpress slot to add a PCMCIA interface to a workstation, gaming machine or point of sale system, the E112 offers an ExpressCard slot. Ideal for new motherboards without PCI slots.
Through it's single lane PCIe bus interface, the E112 provides a slot for PCI- and USB-format ExpressCards including WiMAX, 3G cards (includingn GPRS, CDMA, UMTS, HSDPA) and Wireless LAN/802.11.
Also works with Compact Flash, SmartMedia, MMC and SD
cards using suitable adapter (available separately)
