USB Adapter for Wireless Modem 3G Cards : U142

The U142 is a USB adapter for Cardbus (32-bit) 3G wireless cards. Ideal for connecting desktops, laptops without PC card slots, and bespoke systems (such as point of sale) to the internet where-ever you are!

The unique hardware design of the U142 has been developed especially for this type of wireless modems, so other card types are not supported. The U142 does not support memory cards. Check our Frequently Asked Questions for more information.

Supported Cards

Most 32-bit (CardBus) 3G cards (for 3G technologies such as CDMA, UMTS, HSDPA, EDGE) are supported. 32-bit cards can be distinguished by a gold stripe on the end that is inserted into the PC card slot.

Check the supported card list for more information, or contact your local stockist for advice about the cards offered by your operators in your area.

Note : The U142 in a sucessor to our U132 adapter; it supports the cards that work in the U132, plus new models from Option Wireless

If you need an adapter for a 16-bit PC card, then one of the U111 models will probably meet your requirements.

For OEM customers

The U142 design can be adapted by Elan to support other 32-bit PCMCIA card models. As well as a completed unit, OEM customers can also purchase the USBPC32 IC for use in their own embedded hardware designs. Please contact us for more information
