To simplify the design of PCMCIA and Compact Flash I/O cards, Elan has launched a range of Silicon devices that address both existing and emerging technologies. These solutions embody Elan's expertise in PCMCIA that has been finely honed since the original PCMCIA version 2.0 standard back in 1994. Unlike other chip vendors, we know the PCMCIA interface from both the card side and the host PC side, meaning that we implement the right subset of features and do it in a way that agrees with the standard and works in practice!
