A fully equipped prototype and low volume in-house production facility greatly enhances the design to pre-production cycle time and can be used to 'smooth' the supply chain transition from pre- to full- production.
Many of Elan's designs are based upon FPGA technology and we have available a very extensive library of 'IP' avoiding the need to duplicate already tried and tested system solutions. FPGA designs may be transferred to full ASIC as the customer's demand pattern crosses the relevant economic threshold.
