To add a PCMCIA interface to a new desktop PC, use the Elan E111. Just as the P111 allows users to add a PCMCIA slot to a workstation, gaming machine or point of sale system via a PCI slot, the E111 provides the same functionality via a PCIe slot. Ideal for new motherboards without PCI slots.
Through it's interface to the PCI Express bus, the E111 provides a 32-bit capable rear access PCMCIA slot for use with any PC card type, including WiMAX, Wireless Lan, wireless modem cards e.g. GPRS, CDMA, UMTS and HSDPA.
Also works with Compact Flash, SmartMedia, MMC and SD
cards using suitable adapter (available separately)
The E111 can be used in any PCIe system including point-of-sale and gaming systems as well as standard workstations.
