Installation of Comms Cards in Windows VISTA
In Windows Vista there are some issues with resource allocation. In order to install a serial card, you may need to download a modified INF file, particularly with multifunction (dual port) cards.

The serial comms cards will still use the native Windows serial driver, but an INF file is required to install the card with the appropriate driver. These INF files may require updates to work on Windows Vista. If your comms card will not install in Vista, or shows an error (may be a yellow ! mark in Device Manager next to the entry for the card) you should download the INF file appropriate for your card.
Instructions
Download the INF file for your card to your PC, for example on your desktop. If you card is plugged into your PC, remove it and then insert it again. The new hardware wizard will start. To find the driver file for your card, browse to the INF file you downloaded. The new hardware wizard will then complete the installation of the card.
