IRQ Routing Problems in Windows 2000 or XP

If there is a problem with the PCMCIA or CardBus card which requires an IRQ, but all of the resources seem to have been allocated sucessfully, a potential solution may be to enable PCI IRQ routing. By default, ISA IRQ routing is enabled as this offers best compatibility with most PCMCIA cards.

Instructions

Download this registry setting, unzip with Winzip (or similar utility) and double click on it to apply it to your registry. If you wish to revert to ISA IRQ routing, repeat this process with this registry setting.
